WISTA presents GYPSY!
GYPSY is the ultimate story about an aggressive stage mother. Join Rose, June and Louise in their trip across the United States during the 1920′s, when vaudeville was dying and burlesque was born. Jule Styne’s music and Stephen Sondheim’s lyrics include Let Me Entertain You, Some People, You’ll Never Get Away from Me, If Momma Was Married, All I Need Is the Girl, Everything’s Coming Up Roses, You Gotta Get A Gimmick and Together Wherever We Go. This is a gripping story of one of the most frightening aspects of show business.

A great cross-curricular opportunity for camps, primary/elementary schools and more!
A rousing tribute to the wonderful country that is Canada. A weary traveler offers the treasure locked inside his suitcase to anyone who can show him the perfect place to live.
Somewhere in the World was originally commissioned by the Charlottetown Confederation Centre of the Arts for the 1997 Charlottetown Festival and is now on tour with WISTA in elementary schools across the Canadian province of Québec. WISTA recently featured the play at the 50th Anniversary Canada Day Celebrations for the City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC.
